DHR MUSIC does MANHATTAN & MIAMI :-)
|
|
Like its namesake, it's an icon...of jazz guitars! This is the first Manhattan model Bob made, back in 1989, and it's for sale exclusively by DHR Music and will be on exhibit at their booth at this weekend's Newport Guitar Festival in Miami.
Per DHR's Dale Rabiner: "This is is an absolutely amazing guitar- the pros that play this guitar say it is one of the best if not the best arch top they have ever played! This historically important guitar was built more than 20 years ago - the aged honey [blonde] and, more importantly, the rich tone and playability speak volumes about what lies ahead for the current buyer of a Flagship Benedetto arch top."
Fun Fact: this guitar was once owned by Just Jazz Guitar Publisher Ed Benson

1996: Jimmy Bruno's house in South Philly.
Bob with the (then) newly formed Concord Jazz Guitar Collective: Howard Alden, Frank Vignola & Jimmy Bruno after their famed recording of the same name..."a brilliant release - a twelve on a scale of ten and mandatory for any serious guitar fan." VG magazine
p.s. Here's the link to The Benedetto Story if you haven't read it. And if you have, well, it may be time to read it again!
I think it's time to finally put together a long overdue book - what do you all think?
