A 16-B in every way but the color…a lustrous Black Pearl, making this guitar as rare and exotic as, well, a Black Pearl!
With the 16-B Bob Benedetto brings back a little nostalgia with body lines of his custom-made 16″ guitars from the 1990’s. This was the pattern (16-B) that graced guitars made for Bucky Pizzarelli, Joe Diorio, Ron Eschete, Howard Alden, Jimmy Bruno, Chris Standring, John Pizzarelli and many other top world players and esteemed customers. The shape differs from the Bravo body lines with softer, narrower shoulders and a slightly less pronounced cutaway. The new 16-B has a parallel braced, carved spruce top and flamed maple back and sides; it borrows its binding package, headstock shape, tuners, and EPS tailpiece from the Bravo Deluxe, and the A6 built-in gold pickup from the Bravo model. The inlaid “Benedetto” logo is a striking abalone. The non-standard Black Pearl color is far from being a matte black; it has a lustrous sheen and a ‘color of today’ impact. It is the most gig-friendly carved guitar in our line, and is remarkably responsive and feedback resistant. Affordability and pedigree all rolled into one ultra-comfortable guitar. A deluxe Cedar Creek case is included.[audio:http://benedettoguitars.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/s186116-B.mp3|titles=s186116-B]
