These twin guitars may look almost identical but they are actually four years, ten months apart. One of them is Howard Paul’s personal guitar, S2176HP and the other is a newly built, highly customized copycat. Both based on the 16-B model but with highly flamed European tone woods, flamed maple binding, traditional f-style sound holes, x-bracing, violin style tailpiece, and B-6 pickup.
We started this guitar as a custom-spec model intended for Bob’s Boutique but one very savvy customer with impeccable timing snatched it up before anyone else could have a chance.
