Jocelyn Gould is an accomplished guitarist, bandleader and educator. She holds a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from Michigan State University where she studied with Randy Napoleon and Rodney Whitaker. From her adopted hometown of New York City, Jocelyn developed a profile that has taken her to international festivals—such as the St. Lucia, Detroit, and Toronto Jazz Festivals—and renowned jazz clubs. She is the guitar chair of the Detroit-based big band The Gathering Orchestra and the winner of the 2018 Wilson International Jazz Guitar Competition. Jocelyn has recorded with Michael Dease, Diego Rivera and Randy Napoleon for their upcoming records, and her debut album as a leader will be released in 2020. She has performed in the groups of Grammy nominated vocalist/pianist Freddy Cole, trumpeter Etienne Charles and trombonist Michael Dease, to name a few. Jocelyn is a full time professor of guitar at Humber College in Toronto.
