ANOTHER GREAT MEMORY OF BUCKY

This lovely musical memory with BG President, Howard Paul, Bucky Pizzarelli, and Ben Tucker was captured and edited by our friends Jean-Marie Cote and Donna Varner at a 2012 Savannah Jazz concert. The music during still photos is from a duo album featuring Howard and Bob James, followed by video and audio of the concert!

THE LOSS OF OUR DEAR FRIEND

From Howard Paul, President and CEO of Benedetto Guitars and a close personal friend of Bucky Pizzarelli: “Very sad to learn of the loss of jazz guitar legend and longtime Benedetto Player Bucky Pizzarelli. He recently celebrated his 94th birthday, and is father to an entire family of great musicians including John, Martin and Mary Pizzarelli. It was one of life’s great honors to perform and travel with Bucky over the years, introduce him to my family and friends, and consider him an and idol and mentor. Deepest condolences to Ruth and family, and Bob and Cindy Benedetto for the loss of their longtime friend.”

This is an enormous loss for the Benedetto family. Our condolences to all the friends, family, and plentiful guitarists who were forever changed by his music.
