Benedetto welcomes Brazilian guitarist/composer/arranger Chico Pinheiro to the family!
A self-taught guitarist from Sao Paulo, Chico is a leader in the new generation of Brazilian musicians finding fame in America and around the world. After turning professional at age 15, he moved to Boston where he received his music degree (Summa cum laude) from Berklee. He has recorded with major Brazilian and American jazz and popular artists, and received the ‘Top 10 Album of the Year’ in 2003. He has made his mark internationally by collaborating with Dianne Reeves, Bob Mintzer, Chris Potter, Eddie Gomez, Claudio Roditi, Brad Mehldau and Esperanza Spalding.
Chico launched his US tour on his new Bravo Elite model.
One of the leading figures in modern Brazilian music, Chico Pinheiro is a rare talent. Not only an exceptional guitarist
with a wonderful sound and great fluidity, – and, to boot, hushed, near falsetto vocals that perfectly offset his voluptuous playing!
