Leandro Pellegrino

Leandro Pellegrino 02Leandro Pellegrino is a Brazilian guitarist, born and raised in São Paulo, where he studied music composition and Jazz improvisation.

After earning his Bachelor degree in music composition, Leandro auditioned for Berklee College of Music and was awarded a full ride scholarship to pursue his studies in Jazz and improvised music.

In the summer of 2011, Leandro moved to Boston, to live his dream of being immersed in the city’s fertile musical environment. Since then he has gained an impressive reputation among his peers and had the chance to work with many of the greatest Jazz musicians in activity. He has already performed with Dave Liebman, Danilo Perez, Manu Katché, John Pattittuci,Bob Cranshaw, Terri Lyne Carrington, Romero Lubambo, Eric Harland, Gerald Clayton, Erik Truffaz, among others. He is also part of the Grammy award winner album “Beautiful Life” by the exceptional jazz singer Dianne Reeves.

In 2013, Leandro traveleLeandro Pellegrino 01d to Europe for the first time to participate in the Montreux Jazz Guitar Competition and was awarded the 1st prize by the hands of the legendary Lee Ritenour. He was also the first South American guitarist to ever win this Competition.

Leandro has been performing for audiences all over the world and is currently working on the pre-production of his debut album.
