Happy birthday to the “King” of finishing, Larry Perkins!
From all of us at Benedetto, we hope you had a great one!!! You deserve it!
Robert Benedetto Circa 1980! Thanks Ron Rampolla for sharing this great photo of Bob with Ron’s in-the-works 7-String guitar taken in Bob’s Clearwater, FL workshop.
The tradition and quality lives on in Savannah even though Bob is retired and back in Florida!
We couldn’t help note the similarity between this March 17, 2017 photograph of jazz guitar legend Pat Martino (playing his Benedetto) taken at The Blue Note Napa by photographer Mike Oria, and the 1903 painting by Pablo Picasso entitled The Old Guitarist!
Benedetto player Taylor Roberts played in Savannah for the Coastal Jazz Association this weekend. Check out his opening tune!
Howard Paul got to spend time last week at the Miner Family Winery in Napa for Yountville Live! He presented his Master Class explaining the physics and architecture behind manufacturing the finest jazz guitars in the world (our’s!) to an extraordinary group guitar-loving wine-loving executives. Dave Miner also spoke to how his extraordinary wine is produced. Both the music and wine were enjoyed by all!
Benedetto Artist Pat Martino still tours the world as one of jazz genre’s most iconic and influential players. For the past six years he’s been inseparable from his Benedetto PM Model (note – we saw him perform just this weekend in Napa!). This just completed Translucent Black finish over flame maple top is on its way to a guitarist in California. It is built and setup exactly the same as Pat’s personal instruments – handmade in Savannah. Custom orders available with about a 7-month lead-time. Photos by Stephanie Ward.
This custom Benny with a transblack finish is moving along towards the final phases of production. You can already tell this is going to be a GREAT looking guitar!
